OK, so I'm proud! My granddaughter's swim team recently held a
fundraising event for their team. Every swimmer on the team got
pledges for each lap they completed on a one mile swim.
Joslyn finished third, behind the two fastest male swimmers on her team.
But here's the really cool part. Only 2.3% of the WORLDS population can
complete a one mile swim, nonstop. The average time for ALL females, all
age groups is slightly over 33 minutes. An advanced female swimmer in
her age group averages a time of 27 minutes.
My granddaughter, Joslyn, completed the mile in just over 24 minutes!
Like I said, "I'm proud!"

Just started playing with the Sony RX10 after a dozen years with a Canon; I have a lot to learn!
Congratulations to her. I can understand your pride. My grandson was on a swim team for about 3 years when he was younger. He was very good and I was always proud of him even when he didn't win.
Wow, you are very lucky to be related to such a talented person
Congratulations,
Olympics?
Congratulations to your granddaughter, Joslyn, Tim.

Congratulations to her, for her accomplishment! Most people do not have a clue as to how hard long distance swimming is! It can/will suck the strength right out of your body!
Sounds like scholarship time..
Proud, for good reason, bet if she took 38 minutes you would be proud. I know I would.
