Nice lightening shots.
But didn't your Mama tell you not to go out in a lightening storm? Esp on that flat land where you and your camera are likely to be the tallest thing for some distance.
My wife is Los Angeles Area/So Cal born and raised and never learned about lightening. On our honeymoon driving to Disney World, we stopped at a motel in Alabama because of being tired from driving all night. Heated pool, we went swimming, a thunderstorm came along, and I insisted we get out and go in our room. She kept asking me WHY? Until 1/2 hour later, a bolt hit the pool water while she was looking out the window.
OH!
I kid you not was fascinanted as a 7 yr old used to sit outside and ignore mama still ignore the wife.....generational
poor mans rain sleeve my daughter acid wit "dad i hope your not photographing naked"
Edit PS alot of editing gurus tell me i could make my photos so so much better hopefully i will learn mostly exposure and cropping only.
Im just a simple guy learning the game more interested in getting in right place at right time firstly, then getting best shot, sort of have standard settings at night, set up quickly turn on cameras shoot, storm photography is fun storm photography is heart breaking.
Daytime bit more time to fiddle PS im a RANK amateur.
Somedays a bust big time think should do landscapes or wildlife
Cheers from oz another potential round of storms next tuesday
