Trump's lawyers have lost their minds.

Judges heard from a lawyer for Donald J. Trump who argued that a president could face criminal charges only if impeached and convicted first, even if the case involved the assassination of a political rival. A lawyer for the special counsel called that idea frightening.

Here's the link for you republicans who think I lie like you do:

It's getting to where you can't assassinate your rivals anymore. What will they come up with next?

Gotta keep these cases spicy! If the initial reporting is true and Fani Willis hired her married boyfriend (Nathan Wade) as special prosecutor, paid him (so far) 10 times more than her deputies make in a year while traveling to Napa and the Caribbean on his fruits (taxpayer funded) then this could get interesting. Obviously one could argue it has no bearing on the merits but there will certainly be those that argue otherwise.

I listened to the discussion. trump's attorney is arguing that:

* presidents shouldn't be prosecuted
* prosecution is unnecessary because of impeachment
* all activities while in office are officially presidential and immune to prosecution

Appeals Committee is asking about
* constitutional precedents
* accountability
* should anyone be above the law
* what should happen when there is no impeachment

Interesting. It won't take long for a determination to be made.

Trump has spawned a plethora of wack jobs espousing far-out fantasy reasoning that makes people stop dead in their tracks and just stare in utter disbelief...... We have truly entered the Twilight Zone.

Democratic efforts to prosecute Trump on all fronts are quickly unraveling as their indictments are evaluated for legitimacy. They waited until they thought they could impact the election, but they were still way over their skis.

If the Supreme Court finally rules that Trump cannot be prosecuted for anything he has done because he has presidential immunity, President Joe Biden will also have complete immunity if he decides to appoint 4 liberal Supreme Court Justices, change gun laws, change abortion laws, etc., and/or continue as president regardless of the actual outcome of the 2024 election.

Right, I’m sure that’s exactly how it is going down!

George, George, George — you know full damn-well Biden does not have the POWER or AUTHORITY to:

A. Appoint four liberal supreme court justices by executive order.

“The United States Constitution provides that the president "shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the Supreme Court and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided ...”
https://www.senate.gov › about › nominations

B. As well, Presidents do not have the power to alter the Constitution (i.e. the second amendment) nor change gun laws the way governments in countries like England, New Zealand, Australia and Canada have done. Any attempt would be challenged in court immediately.

C. And Biden cannot just up-and-change abortion laws. This was recently decided by the Supreme Court! — or hadn’t you heard?

D. Oh, one more thing: Biden cannot just refuse to “vacate the office” should he lose an election. He would be “physically escorted from the premises.”'

All those things you mentioned are PRECISELY the sort of things liberals and democrat-socialist types have accused of Trump trying to do! And raising quite a ruckus the left-leaning crowd as well!

Yes we know all the points you listed in your reply to be true, but isn't it what Trump wants the power to do? Do the
Mega people even listen to what Trump posts or say in his speeches?

Heck, POTUS (assume DJT wins the immunity case and gets in next term) can just have his SEAL Team 6 StormTroopers wipe out ALL Democrats (legalized Democracide) and then hold a "democratic election" and show how he got 100% of the vote for his 3rd, 4th, and 5th term in office. Of course, the Trump Dynasty "Right To Rule" would simply pass down to his family/heirs in the event that Big Perp himself can't last due to the UV light having burned out his colon.
