Can never see one of these babies without thinking about the song Mustang Sally. Lots of good Mustang Memories. Including where the name Mustang might have originated.
The "Wicked Mr. Pickett", Wilson that is, sure made a statement about this radically new design of what was really nothing more than a re-skinned Falcon.

Beautiful car!
My first car was a 1965 coup, 289 auto, that was handed down from my parents to my sister to me.....wish I would have kept it.
Iconic wonderful muscle car! Thanks for this awesome photo!

Boy, does that car ever bring back memories. A good friend owned one while he and I were in high school in 1965. My favorite feature? The interior side vents. You open the little vent doors and a six-pack fit perfectly. Thanks, Kim!
Very nice, and I love the background.
