Do you know why the Jaguar has two seats? One for the driver and one for the electrician!

Excellent Davey. I've never heard that one. I'll be repeating it this summer at car shows. Is the electrician's name Lucas per chance?
Excellent pictures of a classic vehicle.
Thanks got posting.

One of the BEST ! .....thanks for sharing
I love the XK Jaguars, particularly the XK140 and XK150. Thank you for your great photos of a great car from an era when many cars had style.
What a beauty! Of course , a BRG suit is mandatory...Thank You for those fabulous captures
Great shots! My favorite 2 seater - so beautiful. My friend Conrad had one (think it was a 1953 XJ 150?) in 1970, white. When it stopped you could feel and hear the body slipping over the chassis. Not so good. My 58 Porsche 356 B had similar tendencies but such a car!
Just after we were married my wife and I moved into a trailer court in Dallas. Across the street from us lived a couple who became our best friends. They had an identical Jaguar to the one here. They said theirs was an XK120, but it looked like a duplicate to this 140. I certainly didn’t know the difference- only that it was the most gorgeous car I’d ever seen.
That little trailer court had some of the nicest tenants we’ve ever known. It was a great experience for us and we happily lived there for seven years until our first son arrived. Then it started feeling too crowded in our mobile home.
These photos certainly bring back fond memories. Thanks!
Ron
Stunning car to own and it should be driven and used.
