St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Monastery -- Florence, AZ (Part 3b)
The Chapel of St. Nicholas. "This chapel is an exquisite example of Byzantine architecture. St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, the protector of sailors and children, is one of the most beloved saints in all Orthodoxy."
As you see, the outside stonework and woodworking in this chapel is exquisite.

Happy New Year to you as well Mike and best wishes for 2024!
The wood carvings are awesome.
Wow, what a magnificent chapel; something beautifully exquisite on every surface. Very nicely composed and presented, Dennis. Thanks for sharing the Monastery images.
I visit or just pass through Florance on occasion, where is this chapel in relation to the prison?

As you leave Florence (on Highway 79 heading to Tucson's Oro Valley), you go about 5-6 miles and there is a sign for the Monastery and you turn to your left and then go about a mile to the east.
