The Old Swing Bridge - Sunset Beach, NC

We moved to Sunset Beach, NC in 1998. I bought my first digital camera, a Sony F707 in 2000, after my first grandchild was born.
The swing bridge was replaced in 2013. It took 3 years to complete. Prior to the new bridge, if the bridge was open in the AM and early PM to let commercial and pleasure boats pass, the wait was around 30 minutes. It was quaint and serene, but also dangerous if there was an emergency on the island.
I miss that old bridge.
