Bing now allows free access to DALL-E 3 for image creation. I asked for a photorealistic image of a tabby cat playing with a yarn mouse. This is what I got.
I have to say, I'm impressed. It's not photorealistic, but the image is beautiful.
Yeah. I asked for a picture of a woman with an umbrella with rain bouncing off of it walking down and urban canyon and got one with her arm behind her back with the elbow bending as if it were forward. Very disturbing.
Excellent, Jared!
Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Thanks, Mike! Merry Christmas to you, too!
jaredjacobson words, "I have to say, I'm impressed. It's not photorealistic, but the image is beautiful."
Indeed a beautiful image. My complaint with AI creations stems from one of my few attempts. We are abstracted from the images, they are the work of a computer robot and not ours. The one generated for me was so far beyond my capabilities and exceeded my imagination... using your words when viewing the image created for me, -- " I'm impressed. It's not photorealistic, but the image is beautiful."
Curmudgeon said it is all about syntax. Will the education system teach in the future how to speak correctly to our robotic masters?
It is a beautiful image, nicely created.
It has its own special beauty, for sure. AI images seem to use light much more effectively than many photographers do
Jared, for Digital Artistry section, we request you post an image you've edited. Fine to start with AI, but then make it your own. UHH has an AI-exclusive section
here. Digital Artistry's guidelines are pinned on our first page
here. We have been tweaking the section's purpose in accordance with current trends, preferences, and membership
Thanks much!

As a software developer by trade (among other things), I think I can safely say that we’ve been there for the last nearly 80 years. My formal education taught me to speak five computer programming languages, and I’ve picked up several more since.
Convincing a computer to do what you want it to do rather than what you’ve told it to do has always been among the hardest parts of programming.

Thanks, Linda. I looked for that section before posting, but it didn’t show up in the topic list when trying to post in a topic from the drop-down at the top of the page. In fact, it still doesn’t. One would have to already have a link to the topic post on it. Perhaps that’s why it gets so few posts.

From your logged-in "Home" screen, only the sections to which you're subscribed will display.
"All sections" at the bottom of any page enables you to browse all, and then click "subscribe" to any section you wish to follow. Once you subscribe to sections that interest you, you'll see new topics via your "newest topics" list and have a quick way to create topics in those sections.
UHH is not set up to enable visibility of volunteer-managed sections. Admin explains that in his topic on how to create a new section so we know what we're getting into. Obviously, the overwhelming majority of users stay in Gallery, Chit Chat and Main Discussion
