Well, I Finally Did It, Took Some "Serious" Photographs With A SmartPhone. Last Thursday my wife and I got a pair of Samsung Galaxy S23 ultra SmartPhones. The camera is far better than the one in my old Note8. I have not been in the club of "big Cell Phone photo fans." Here are a Couple Photographs I took with it. Check the associated Metadata if you care about that. Enjoy, Comments.

Nice shots. Within their limits cell cameras are every bit as good as DSLRs, that within their limits are every bit as good as a 4x5 view camera, that within their limits...

Yes, in the right hands, with practice. I have been all the way from Half Frame to 8×10 inch View Camera.

I have had a Pixel Pro 7 for the past year. I have found that it puts the macro lens I use on my D7100 to shame! It really takes some great shots, but there are a lot of things only my big camera can do. In most pinches, however, it is fine.

Nice shots

Nice shots. A phone camera is still a camera, and it still takes a good eye and practice and patience.
This is a Monarch caterpillar shot with a pixel 6, no adjustment.

Very nice photos. Maybe you can post some photos from you new cellphone in the Smartphone Photography section, too.

Cool, I have photographed those "cats" before back south near LA. Now that I live on the CA Central Coast there are Monarchs nearby in Pismo Beach!
