A tree in Poverty Flats, shot and processed in the manner of Spanish photographer Pep Ventosa.
Twenty-eight separate exposures, shot at three step intervals from a circular path around the 'subject' (the isolated tree), then processed as a stack using decreased layer transparency levels, a variety of blending modes, and sundry other tweaks based on little more than 'what looked good at the time.'
The point is not to portray an actual 'reality'. The point is to present a heightened, Impressionistic kind of reality. And the challenge involved in doing so is fun, too.
You have done a beautiful shot as impressionistic as it could be. Very nice.
I am not a Photoshop guru, I would like to try the technique but I know beforehand I am going to have lots of problems. I am not very good blending and not good at all using masks.
I looked at the images of Pep Ventosa, all of them beautiful, all of them fine art.
I like it a lot, whatever it took to get it.
Superb! Great image and thanks for introducing me to Pep Ventosa. How cool!

Ouch! I think my brain just snapped!
Sorry, my brain is to rooted in reality. I followed the 28 photos from the circular path. Stacked photo of the tree, okay. From there you totally lost me in all the processing. I'm glad you're having fun. And I will continue to follow and appreciate all your work (or play). I always study the color and light and composition in your posts. I'm always trying to learn, and you always provide a lot to learn.
