Right Wing zealots, you tell us. As I recall both Clintons, both Obamas and of course POS Biden were ALL against same sex marriages right up until the LGBTQ people started making their votes count. Then morality took a Democratic Nose Dive and political expediency for VOTES took over.
As for the Pope, he never was a good imitation of God, just another wannabe.
