GBH : Sony A9 / Tamron 150-600 G2 / LA-EA5

Shot this today as a good test. The Tamron A-mount 150-600 G2 seems to work well with the Sony LA-EA5 adapter on the A9 - no CIZ tho.

This shot @ 600mm f6.3, ISO 500, moderate crop and my standard PP in elements 9 .......for me, this just makes acceptable - nothing to write home about - looking CLOSE there is a bit of CA which hurts it. DOF is very shallow !

What do you think about the Tamron big zoom? I've owned two of them and was not impressed. Shorter Tamron lenses are good, but not happy with their long lenses!

The Tamron is just OK especially if you have never seen better or if it is all you have - but I have seen better and I have better. It is the ONLY long zoom for Sony A-mount. It is better @ 550mm and f8. I think my Canon 400 f5.6 prime W/1.4X (560mm f8 )is better but only zooming with feet then.
