LIDAR in iphones

The newer iPhones have LIDAR for various applications but it also helps them focus better in the dark. I don’t know if mirrorless cameras have this technology.

I don't know either. Maybe someone over in the Main Photography section could answer that question. What model of IPhone do you use?

I have a 10xr but LIDAR is only in the Pro models 12, 13, ,and 14.

It uses lasers to measure things.

Interesting. Come to think of it, I’ve never had a complaint about the focus on my iPhone in any conditions. Probably the same thing with Samsung.

Same acronym as RADAR (RAdio Direction And Ranging) but using LIght (or Lasers) instead of radio.
