Dual SD Cards?

I have truly been enjoying my Canon 90d doing my photography learning. It seems perfect for that. However I may be coming into a little money later in '24 and am considering a good upgrade if there is one, as that 90d does a great job. The only thing I wish was different in the 90d was if it had dual memory cards as I have had it happen twice when I transfer the raw images to my computer to process "I stupidly deleted the originals to clean the card" and will not do that again, I need to retain the images somewhere however I am not sure if they came over corrupted or just were corrupted post transfer. Anyways, am thinking hard after watching many pro youtubers state they ONLY shoot with cameras with twin cards so they have backups of their images.
I have been trying to study and compare and look at all the facts and figures but am still baffled. My 90d has 32.4 MP at 10fps speed, which has been a dream. Im not sure I want to go mirrorless as they do NOT seem to have near the battery life that the camera I have does. I am NOT married to this brand, so can surely trade the glass and body in on whatever I choose. What if any camera might I be looking at as a good upgrade?? I do NOT plan on video blogging or any of that so video doesnt matter. I primarily just shoot photos and thats all I plan to in the future. I just don't know what camera might be considered an upgrade to the 90d. Id love to go mirrorless, with dual memory cards, as they can be so silent to not disturb the wildlife, but they ALL seem so short on battery life. Im hoping I might get some good recommendations to consider as an upgrade, as I am just overwhelmed with all the info I am seeing and not able to truly make an honest decision on it all, so I thought it would be best to ask you pros!!
Please offer any help, and thank you kindly.

Canon EOS R7II APS-C 32MP Dual card slots, Canon EOS R6II FF 24MP Dual card slots. Carry an extra battery if that concerns you. They're small.

When I bought my Z9, having been in the field with folks using Canon and Sony mirrorless, and always needing to change batteries, I bought an extra battery, not cheap. When I go out, I can easily shoot over 1,000 pics, and my battery has never gone below 50%. Never have I needed to change that battery.

If you keep the screen off and only use the EVF, the batteries in my R6 lasts quite awhile. I only take an extra battery when I start out with one less than half charged in the camera.

Regarding, " . . . .but they ALL seem so short on battery life."

Is it because they are shooting movies?
I Never Shoot Movies.
I usually shoot 200-300 shots when I go out for a day of shooting with my Canon 7D, 6D, 5DIV, or R5. Now I always take a spare battery because I may venture out with the camera-loaded battery starting at <60% charge.
My Canon RP is the only body that gives me any battery charge level anxiety when starting at less than 100% charge. Regardless, I always carry a suitable to-body spare in my right front pocket and I can easily change the low or nearly exhausted battery in less than ten seconds.
Full disclosure: I don't do a lot of chimping and I shoot in short bursts. I always use genuine Canon batteries/chargers, and I rotate the spares.
Best Wishes,

PS: No arguement here. Just my experience/opinion.

I have a Canon EOS R and I never shoot videos with mine either. So far I’ve never had any reason to complain about the battery life (or anything else either. It’s a great camera). I’d recommend it, only I’m not sure that it’s what you’d want, since it doesn’t have the option of dual cards
