They are indeed impressive structures, made with natural products from the immediate area. Ours today are $$$$$, and start deteriorating in the first several years due to the cheap materials used in construction....

All nicely photographed. Where is this located? This is an example of old Scandinavian building techniques. We find a lot of examples of this construction technique in my neck of the woods.
