Thank you, John. Yes, I have even used on recently scanned film with good results.

Very nice. I like NIK for my B&W, I use it all the time. I am still using the free version; I never felt the need to invest in the new version.
Why change if you don't need to?

Thank you topcat, I agree re the "if it isn't broken don't fix it" philosophy, but NIK does offer an opportunity to download a trial of their newest version and it may still be on sale for half price.
