My style is fairly consistent after almost three years since inheriting my dad's Canon T2i. I'm now using an OM System mirrorless OM-1 and pro lenses, and DXO Pure Raw 2, Photoshop 2024 and Lightroom Classic for processing this batch. All of you at UHH have inspired and coached me and I wanted to share these with you.

OM System OM-1, M.Zuiko ED 40-150mm f2.8 PRO, MC-14

I like your style, up close and personal for the most part. Don't stop now..........would enjoy seeing more.

Thanks for the good word. My aspiration is to excel at dramatic landscape photography, but I think your description of up close and personal fits the flowers and wildlife I enjoy doing the most as they just come together for me.

All very well done. You certainly have an understanding of the importance of light. So many of us, me included, just take the shot because we're there and the subject is there, without waiting for the best light. Really well done nature shots.

Hi, thanks for the kind comment. I’m with you when it comes to photographing what catches my eye, usually spontaneously and sometimes planned. There are three things I try to do to manage the light - sun roughly from behind me, expose to avoid blowing the highlights, and move around for a pleasing background.

Absolutely. One thing I picked up from an online course I took was to look at the background. So often, when taking photos of people, we don't notice the light pole or tree growing out of the top of the subject's head. Guilty as charged.
