Not much in the way of painting going on in reality Ellen, it’s all down to camera movement - and a few curves tricks for colour. The hand was one of those ‘happy’ happenings. The hand is a separate layer and, upon bringing it in to the layer stack, it offered the right effect. You could say that was ‘handy’!

I do like the drama the colors give to this image and again your ICM. It looks like she's coming from light into a dark area and has a magic light source in her hand to guide her on her journey. OK getting tooooo carried away

I did enjoy this one too.That’s another good interpretation, we are definitely on the same wavelength with ICM!
Colours and light are probably areas I should concentrate upon when I try more of the technique.
I’ve taken a few seascape shots now and will post a composite later - but I’m interested to see how the tutor I’m following handles that type of scene. That’s this weekends talk. She doesn’t composite though and I doubt she approves of it! Thanks again for your comments.

Of the three that I've seen, this is the best one. She is perfect and I love the colors, as you mentioned, plus the vignette really works. This composite has a very big Wow factor for me.
