Well, I just saw the McConnell Story with June Allyson, and that was a treat.
One of my favorite war movies is called, as my faded memory recalls, is Heaven Knows, Mr Allison.
For a real oldie, "Dawn Patrol"
30 Seconds Over Tokyo, and for unadulterated realism "Pacific" , from the Eugene Sledge book "With the Old Breed on Pelilu", if you want to know the real story and heart ache of war, thats the absolute top mini series to watch.

Here in UK, Saturday and Sunday is our Annual Remembrance Time. The whole land gathered together today and paid respect with two minutes silence in the 11th hour. Lest We Forget.
10,000 veterans and others marched past the Cenotaph in central London, with Princess Anne (The Princess Royal) standing at attention for an hour taking the salute to the Marchers. The day was cold and grey. She is a true Royal!
Hopefully your great films will continue to be viewed by new generations so they may be aware of sacrifices made.
I'd like to take this opportunity to include Americans in my thoughts.
How about "Best Yeats of Our Lives".
Agreed, but there's only so much available time.
I also forgot " G-d os My Copilot".
