From DFW Memorial last year. Todays starts at 11:00, it is 9:47am now as I write this.
This is my fathers site and my mother with him. It was a touching time. The images with my mother are from 2/15/23 of this year. I had to add them. Fresh sod had recently been layed down.
Nikon D300s, Auto or program mode, matrix or center point, f/10, 1/400, ISO 200.
Others with green grass were later on after sod took root.

I totally agree, very Poignant. I visit my parents in a similar cemetery. These cemetery's are beautifully maintained, with much dignity and respect.

So many fallen. I saw brothers fall, but those orderly rows of headstones reach into the depths of my soul. What amazing things might those men have accomplished if they'd lived.

Thank you for a well thought out and poignant comment. May I suggest, what amazing things those men and some women accomplished by their death, the giving of freedom to others who may never have known it before, the gift of life to others etc.
