The blue "berries" are really pretty. Juniper?

And then there are tiny red "berries."

These were on a weed. They were so pretty, I didn't cut down the weed. Pokeberry. Edible?

This tree had just started to turn. I thought this leaf sort of showed the process. Some kind of maple.

A serendipitous find.

These daisies were growing profusely along a path. Google find says it's frost aster.

This tree is close to 200 years old. It has been hit by lightening multiple times, ripped by tornadoes, and is still standing.

This is what the tree looks like from the other side. The top is missing, but it continues to grow.

Pokeweed berries are NOT edible, they are toxic, as is most of the plant.
Nice set, Kathy. DO NOT eat those berries. They make nice images, though.
I am impressed with that tree.

Very nice!! That stone looks like the foot stone for a grave.

I just Googled it. I think I'm glad I didn't mess with it, as I wasn't wearing gloves!

Thanks, Barb. I've seen that tree literally explode from lightening. That's why there's such a huge hold in the trunk. I can't believe it's still growing. I have to get it trimmed occasionally because the limbs come out over the driveway.

Thanks, Dodie. There were no stones around it, so I'm thinking that it WAS the gravestone. The others in that section were small single-level stones, some hand-carved.
Yes to that being Juniper.
Beautiful set Kathy. That is one BIG tree

Very nice set. Were the flowers and berries current (October-November) or from earlier this year? Summer? Spring? 2022?
