went down by the bay at sunset and couldn't resist capturing these
You live in a beautiful town!
Help me understand. You live in or near Cape May which is part of New Jersey. The ocean is east of Cape May. Being a cape, there may be bays of water west of some peninsula or jetty or something. But your shots have the ocean all the way to the horizon. How does that work?
Nice sunrise shots. But Iβm not sure what Iβm seeing in the third image. I didnβt think we were orbiting around two suns!

Talk about peaceful AND beautiful π§‘ππ§‘ππ§‘
That was my very first thought when I moved here. Easily explained though. Take a look at a map of the US or the Mid-Atlantic states. Note that NJ is along the Delaware Bay and directly right across from the Bay is the state of Delaware. So, NJ is a peninsula, on the eastern side is the Atlantic Ocean and on the western side is the Delaware Bay and the the state of Delaware. So if I'm at the southern most tip of NJ, Cape May, and looking in a westerly direction where the sun sets I'm looking at Delaware as the sun is setting. BTW, the Delaware Bay is 17 mi at its widest from Cape May, NJ to Cape Henlopen, DE.

Not totally sure what's happening there. My initial thinking is the background "Sun" is the Sun, the foreground "Sun" is a reflection. It is NOT the moon. The Moon from where I'm standing is behind me. I don't believe it's Venus or Mars which are both visible in the sky this time of year. They too if visible, would be behind me.
