I have a few Nikon lenses that I no longer use. I hate for good equipment to just sit while someone else could enjoy it. All are in excellent shape. Which companies are currently paying well while offering good service? I haven’t seen this on a UHH thread for a year or two.

You could try posting here on UHH in the Members Buy/Sell/Trade section.

I only deal with KEH.com. I've been burned on eBay and here, and have decided not to screw with anything else. I have found their quotes to be realistic, and you get paid quickly.

Very old lenses I sell on Ebay as retailers don't want to mess with older lenses.
For a few times with newer lenses I used KEH, they were fair, no hassle and payment was prompt.
So it will depend on age of lenses, are they compatible with the new cameras or some trait that makes them desirable by the buying public.
I have had several good transactions selling to and trading with MPB, and also selling on eBay.
However, like other resellers, MPB will only pay a "wholesale" price, but are fair, offer free shipping and fast payment. You can get closer to a "retail market" price on eBay, but you might have some unrecovered shipping costs and will have to pay the sellers fee, which can be substantial for pricy items, and it might take longer for the item to sell. You will likely not get as much as MPB and the others ask for the same item, since you are not likely to offer a free no questions asked return period, or a six month seller's warranty, and even if you did those features would be worth less from a private seller than from an established merchant.
So the decision is a trade off of what matters most to you.

I too have had good luck with KEH.
No issues with KEH. Issues twice with Adorama. Gave a few older, but usable, items to members on UHH.
Sometimes you can get more satisfaction by passing things on, although not always practical.

I used to buy & sell a lot on ebay, then used craigslist a lot. Now I am using facebook marketplace and it seems to be working out well.
I tried that and all I got were silly messages that had nothing to do with the items I offered to sell.

I forgot about Facebook marketplace.
My wife uses it for me quite successfully for more than camera stuff.

Also if you post a description of the items you want to sell, you may get some offers that would be a win-win?
I have sold my used Nikon lenses and related gear by using MPB. Another company to consider is KEH Camera.

I have only purchased three items recently; one new from my a local store and two used on UHH. I was pleased with both.
In both cases, I established PM with seller to ensure a clear mutual understanding. In one case, providing complete contact data was a factor. The seller had a typo in my e-mail address and called to find out why e-mails failed to deliver. If I had not included phone, I may not have been able to purchase.
It's like contracting. If some detail is not defined by either party, it may not be an oversight. If it is an oversight, it is easily clarified.
I use e-bay but only for certain items (e.g. books defined by ISBN) not photography.

I sell ALL of my equipment myself and keep about 40-75% more than giving it away to some other company.
I sell here, on Fred Merinda and lastly on Ebay. Here and on Fred I pay no fees or a nominal fee, Ebay will charge me around 12% so I use them last.
Do not give your money away, sell it yourself and hold on to your hard earned money. It will come in handy when you get the itch for something shiny and new.

National Camera Exchange:
