The appeal for me is the close grouping of many hats and the gentleman with the brolly trying to maneuver around the giggling (I imagine, even though you stated "studious") girls

I think I was hoping the bulging briefcases and bookbags would tell the story. My companion and I had to step quickly out of their way and we both had the same thought; these young women are on their way to Parliament....in a year or two. They would be in their late sixties now and I'm still betting some of them have made a difference.
