Very thought-provoking. Who is the woman behind the screen? Is the man's cell on the far side of the doorway or is it the area with the red-painted floor? (red??) Is this a nightmare or a vision?
Wonderfully created, Dave!

Wow, I was so focused on the man, I did not see the Ghost-like woman ... Good scanning Linda

With thoughts of in or out of prison thinking becomes confused and distorted by damaged self worth and sticking with long term rules. Same reasons why women [or men] do not escape an abusive relationship.

Why did not a US X-President under multi indictments not pack his plane with cash and fly away when he had his chance... Some x presidents do...like "Ex-President Peron sailed from Buenos Aires harbor this afternoon [1955] on the first stage of his voyage into exile at Asuncion, Paraguay" Cash in hand~!

A simple composite of two images taken in a disused prison. Your critique is welcome.

You have done well with this composite Dave. On a personal note, you know I like dramatic images but depressing ones is another thing and I'm guilty as well. I tried to put myself in his situation in order to appreciate what you have here more but only to know it's not reality for me or the subject, so we're all good here. His expression of sadness shows to the extreme while I suspect the woman in the background could very well be a visitor and simply completes the scene.

His outfit has certainly seen better days Gaylord!
This guy works so hard at his re-enactments and even on cold days will be barefoot, often as a street beggar. He belongs to the Ragged Victorian 'Great Unwashed' group.

I reckon they think they can get away with whatever they've done without having to 'leg it' Don. An acquaintance that decided to murder his wife (a very attractive lady, but a little too playsome) had all the experience necessary to avoid arrest (he is ex-SAS) but chose to bluff it out. It took a couple of years but, even without a body, the police put him away for fifteen years. He's out but I haven't met him since his release. Folk say he became 'institutionalised', which is to be expected I guess. I won't send him the pic!

You've read it well Dave, pretty much as I see it myself. Many thanks.

If you didn’t mention it was a disused prison, I would not have thought it to be one. Simple but effective composite. My question is, is this a self portrait?

Parts of the place are in very poor order Frank, it’s due for redevelopment when there’s enough money about. And, yep, there are similarities but my dress code doesn’t quite match his!
