Today may be the last of the warm days in our area for awhile. A family down the street saw me working on my railroad and just had to stop by.

This makes all the work worth it.

Wow, Awesome I forgot you're here in KC. I live in OP. Do you cover this when it rains or snows? I have a 1 1/2 year old grandson and he would go crazy over this setup. Thanks for posting. BE SAFE!!

I think outdoor RR's are fantastic, if you have the room for one, that is...I have seen videos of quite a few and wow! they are wonders to behold! I wonder tainkc, if you would show more of the layout.

I too, live in Overland Park. To answer your question, nope. Uncovered and exposed to the elements all day, all night, all year wrong. I even managed to ruin a snow plow engine during what was supposed to be a light snow. I was just letting run and keep the track clear and the snow came down rather heavy while I was napping. I am not going to say any more.

The pic with the lady running just about gets it all. Years ago I had building (bird houses actually) set up as a town. I used to have annual flowers but the pear tree grew and there went any sunlight. I still have plenty of plants but they are now cut for the winter. They will come back. here is one that I have not cut back yet from the same shoot. It is a perennial.

If it was just a bit bigger the littlest one might tempted to try to go for a ride.
