Though I have lived in this area for most of my life, I have never done much photography here. I recently joined up with a photog group (CNPA) and this was my first group outing with them. (This was husband approved, since he doesn't feel comfortable with my venturing out alone into the countryside!) I look forward to seeing what other adventures this group has in store.

Awesome series --- Thanks !
That's a nice array of shots. Yesterday, 10-22-23, the Blue Ridge Parkway from Grandfather Mountain almost to Blowing Rock, was virtually a stop-and-go parking lot. During all of my years of spending the Fall months in this area,
I have never witnessed crowds of such magnitude crammed onto the Parkway. Thankfully, I can enjoy the area before and after the crowds depress the fun aspect.
I'm not a photog group kinda guy. Although I have met up with a few fellow UHH'rs, and enjoyed it. But it looks like it has paid off in spades for you and your photography! This is a VERY nice set. Congratulations!!
Excellent and beautiful series, Diane.
A wonderful festival of color and light, Diane!

So glad you dropped in for a closer look, Larry--thanks so much for the encouraging words!
Thanks, Bill! Glad you dropped in to see some of my home territory.
Thank you, Ken--I do forget how beautiful my own back yard can be.
