Very nice picture of a unique mushroom. I've seen lots of mushrooms in my 8 decades, but never one like yours. Thanks for sharing.

I used photoshop to select the top of the mushroom with the magic wand with a bit of cleanup with the lasso tool. I then used image/adjust/hue saturation to give it a psychedelic look. After that I inverted the selection and used filter/stylize/oil paint to take the edge of reality from the surroundings.
