A camera of one sort or another has been part of my life since starting out back in High School shooting for the school newspaper and yearbook. Back then, it was a well-used Speed Graphic and the venerable old Rollie Flex. I worked after-school for the local small town photographer loading his 4x5 film holders and proofing senior's graduation picture negatives on a light table with a spotting pencil. My own first camera was a 35mm Miranda Dr 1.9 and I loved it. Then I moved to Field services for the college and more advanced yearbook and college newspaper. I was given a weekly picture page in the local newspaper and sold work to API-UPI. Off to Carbondale, Ill to study commercial photography as I hauled an 8x10 view camera along with all of the necessary equipment around the campus in special baskets built on to my bicycle! Vietnam era and the draft board got in the way of hopes and dreams and after that hiatus, I returned to work my way through my degree with wedding photography. (Linhoff & Mamiya Sekar Days!) Work, family, life, saw me hanging up the camera for other pursuits until the camera became stress relief and just for fun. I am now a Nikon user. It took a long time for me to jump into the digital world and I did so with my good old D90 which is now my back up camera to my D7100. I am retired and my cameras are still, just for fun and showing how I see the world in my viewfinder.
Welcome to the Hog! I hope to see some of your work.
Welcome. Post and have fun.
Welcome to UHH Samuel, glad you joined us. Hope to see some of your images soon. I have a D7100 as a backup to my D7200. My brother still shoots his D90 to this day.
Have fun and enjoy the forum.

Welcome to the forum.
The D90 is a great camera! It was also my first DSLR. I learned a lot from it.
Look forward to seeing your photos.
