Wisconsin Dells - fall foliage

my initial plan to try to go to the NY Finger Lakes region is being quashed, because it looks like rain will fall for 5 of the next 8 days.
plan B: hop on a plane, fly to Milwaukee, and drive to the Wisconsin Dells. Cannot find a really good website for up to the date foliage report on the Dells; can anyone who has been there, or anyone who might live near there, help me?

In the Dells area, my favorite location is Mirror Lake State Park. Just south of the ‘strip’. If you can get into a boat you’ll appreciate the reason it is called Mirror Lake. The still water smoothly reflects the shoreline colors.

Well, if you are free to travel:
instead of flying to Milwaukee and heading northwest, just go due west. Or a few miles South. For that matter, go to O’Hare in Chicago and be 60 miles south of Mikwaukee, and a few weeks ahead of the color change. The Morton Arboretum, west of Chicago, is always nice.
Colors on Sunday were just starting to change in central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland. The DC area might be nice next week or shortly after.
