Light Room question please.

I cannot find a way to see the Photo label name the camera assigns to images after adding the photo(s) into Light Room. Example, 204421 as named and seen on my computers folder. I would like to be able to see or determine the name in Light Room. This would be very helpful to me when adding numerous photos and comparing the settings the way I use LR to auto adjust and me tweaking.
Any replies are greatly appreciated.
Bruce.

Do you mean the 'i' key, like I-formation? You can configure what information is displayed.

When looking at the grid mode of the Library module, you can control the information displayed. See View / View Options. You have settings for both the Grid View and the Loupe View. In the Loupe View, pressing 'i' repeatedly toggles the information display.

Thanks Paul, I see it now but I will have see how to configure it to auto display along with the Edit option I am using on the side bar which the Info pops over but at least I can get it. It would be nice to be able to see this info along with the edit info. I guess this is a toss up but at least I can use the 'i' key to bring it up.
See this helps me when I have numerous images from just a few to a couple of hundred. So when I shoot a image like this eclipse we had Saturday, I change shutter speeds and sometimes between P and Shutter priority, depending on the camera I use which in this case was both. So this scenario was new to me and I can see in LR which settings worked the best.
Thank you fore the help, it is VERY appreciated sir.

In the grid view (and Loupe) in the Library, you can also see EXIF data in the right-side panel, that is configurable. You want to assure Metadata is enabled in this panel as well as the section is expanded when one image is selected / displayed.

Oh thank you, right now I am going through 204 RAW images of the eclipse and the 'i' feature is working for me and once I finish this I am going to look at this you just told me about.
This is workable and I am happy even though I was wondering if this info was visible when I select the image but I am just dream wishing on that.
This is helping me narrow down and learn the settings in a workable range as opposed to just the 'shotgun' approach.
Thanks Bro.

You can also C-ompare two images, with the I-nfo displayed too. Not perfect, but might be more useful than one image at a time. Finally, you can use the metadata filters in the Library module, to isolate images by ISO, shutterspeed, focal length, lens, camera, so forth.

Ooooh nice to know, this may help me. Well I have just used the auto adjust and then tweaked the other light settings and that worked for me but with this many images ? Now I do not have a Library in LR. Once I tweak my pictures and export them back to my puter I then delete from LR. So far this has worked for me but working with images this is good to know how to sort them out via comparison. This is why I asked here first because the Big Brains that are very knowledgeable with this I knew or hoping would step in.
Ok, Back to my images so I can post some of them soon. Look at my Hillbilly home made solar filter post and it should give you a laugh.
