Looking for a recommendation on a dash cam. Nothing fancy, don't need all the bells and whistles. Want to be able to review video if something happens while driving.
Thank you.

Try; "iZeeker 1080P dash cam". I got one from Amazon. Very simple to use... not too bad for the money.

I have the Viofo in two cars, front and rear. The price is substantially reduced today. I don't like the two-camera sets. I use the better quality dash cam as a rear camera.

There is a huge selection available, and your best bet is to look at reviews on YouTube. Being able to read license plates is important to some people. I just want to be able to show that an accident wasn't my fault. Nothing bad is ever my fault. 😋

I use a Rove dash cam - easy to set up and have not had any issues with it for a couple of years now.

I think most of them show speed and GPS location. I like those features.

Thank you Jerry, Shellback and 13. Can someone explain the following to me? This was part of a description of one that I was looking at, the 'izeeker'.
'The Loop Recording function automatically overwrites past unlocked videos to free up more space for new videos. The 32GB MicroSD card can usually record for a week. If the video is not needed after the card is full, just delete or format it manually to re-record.'
Either it overwrites or I have to format card. This seems contradictory.

I have a 128G microSD card in mine, and I just let it run. Starting with a new card, the camera will fill it up and then go back and record over the earliest videos. I never do anything with the card unless there is something I want to see. Then, I will remove it and scan through the files, checking the time, to find the video I want.

One thing that's important is getting the right kind of card. I had a device that wanted a lower spec card, and the higher spec would not work in it. Also, there are cards designed to work better in dash cams.

I have a small Garmin unit that can talk to my phone. Mostly it’s set and forget, except the initial setup when I aim the camera.

If I need to review I can either pull the card for the computer or edit a section on my phone for download.

Identical unit in wife’s car. She witnessed a hit and run car versus bicycle two weeks ago and we made a DVD for the police. I hear the guy was ok.

Dash cams provide entertainment on YouTube, showing some ridiculous situations.

I have 3 of the Rove R-2 4-k cameras.
About $100 or under on Amazon. 2 of them are refurbs.
Good quality and good features.
Support on FB excellent. They have several models. The R-2 is good enough.

P.S., no matter what camera you buy makes sure you get a compatible recommended card. I had one that would not display half the videos. Ended up buying a card from Rove. A little more expensive but it worked flawlessly.

There is a refurb Rove on Amazon for $60. Good price. I have 2 refurbs, no issues.
