Some photos from looking into the crater
Great set Moondoggie, thanks for the tour
Pretty wild. Really like the lava tube.
Great pictures. I assume that's Kilauea not Mauna Loa. Never been there but my sister-in-law lives about 2 miles from that crater.
nice shots and brought back memories from when I was there when I was in the navy

Lot's of memories, Very nice shots !
When I was there, saw a sign which indicated taking volcanic rocks would upset Pele, the volcano goddess, and bring bad luck. Wasn't thinking to take any until I read the sign. Had to take some, because not to take any would mean I believed in such a non-existent "goddess". Brought back a handful, as they look nice in aquariums and as souvenirs. No "bad luck", have had a great life since 1988, and those volcanoes just keep on making more rocks.
Beautifully done. I’ve never been that close to a volcano. Was there a noticeable temperature increase as you approached?
Excellent set Moondoggie. Brings back memories!
