Photoshop Generative AI Opinions

I had a shot of an Osprey giving me the crazy eye. I liked the bird but the sky made the shot not very special. I decided to give generative AI fill in photoshop a try. A lot of people have pointed out that the quality is low, but this looks pretty good to me. What do you guys think?

Not as objectionable as most sky replacements practiced here.

I see no problem with it.

If you weren't prioritising realism you might think it was unimpressive.

One little problem, probably easily resolved. In the original, about 15 degrees up and over from the bird's right eye (the viewer's left), there's an innocuous little branch. In the revised version, that little bit of growth looks like a flying saucer, barely connected to the tree. I'd guess you could just clone it out.

We are getting new tools from Adobe at a little higher rate than usual this year. In a week, Adobe is having their annual big bash in Los Angeles called "MAX". We can expect improvements like sky replacement.

Your sky looks good! The AI process is only going to get better.

Curmudgeon is right, less is more.

In this case, looks like a good save.

Most important, did it improve the image? My opinion is definitely yes. Also, there are other techniques you could have used to improve the sky especially now that "masking" is easier.
