Well, Linda, I like it! As has been implicated, the webs look like guy wires.

Thank you, John. Very glad it appeals to you; the impression of wires holding up the bud is fun!
Just getting back from a trip, so pardon the late arrival.
Great image of nature. The silk spider strand adds so much to this picture. Superb lighting and placement. I also enjoy the negative space on top that isolates this beautiful scene.
May I respectfully make a suggestion? When I consider what to include in a natural shot, I look at the surrounding area, and background, and 'try' and decide what to include. Sometimes difficult until I look at it from a theater play production viewpoint.
What is the accompanying placement setting, what adds, what detracts from the story being played out, and what is the main theme?
If I may offer this: clone out the bud to the left of the rose. For me it's a bit of a distraction and takes away from the main element of interest. Isolate your beautiful point of interest.
For instance, l just looked at "The Fern" in this section. The accompanying background provides the environment in which the fern 'lives', and in my opinion (only?) adds to the overall feeling of the picture. It provides a placement for the element of interest.
Your image is gorgeous, and your isolation of this 'gotta be there to get it' is a stand alone capture.

I greatly appreciate your taking the time to offer valuable feedback. I now see what you see regarding the bud on the left. It definitely has to go
Thank you so much!
