Damsels and Dragons

I shot these yesterday morning at Santee Lakes. The Dragonflies are Common Green Darners. The blue Damselfly I believe is a Rambur's Forktail. I wasn't able to ID the orange Damselfly.

Nice work on this set Joe. Your orange damsel is one of the four color forms of the female Rambur's Forktail (Ischnura ramburii). Well done!

I forgot to ask... how did you get them to 'stay still'? They can do that.

Richard Attenborough has an excellent film clip on Dragons and Damsels ( I think that's the title). They are extraordinary critters.
