Conversation from iPhone to Samsung Galaxy S 23

I’m considering converting from my iPhone 7 to a Galaxy S23 Ultra. I know it’s a big jump. I do have some questions of those who converted from any iPhone to any Galaxy: 1) can all my paid apps be moved over? I have Sibley V2 for birds and two different depth of field apps. 2) can the phone be linked to my hearing aids? This allows ringing only in my hearing aids as well as the incoming conversation silent to the outside but excellent volume to my aids. 3) where do I get new apps? I assume I can’t use Apple’s App Store

I have a Galaxy S21 (replaced my S-III), I get my apps at https://play.google.com/store/apps.

Check with the hearing aid manufacturer. I can't imagine they won't have an app for the 'Droid, unless the aids are made by Apple.

I can’t speak to the Galaxy S 23 Ultra, as I’ve only owned one Galaxy phone several years ago, but I’m interested in knowing your reason for jumping from the iPhone to the Android phone. If your other devices—tablet, computer, etc., you would be losing a lot of convenience via iCloud. I believe Apple no longer supports the iPhone 7, so I can understand moving up to an iPhone 14 or 15 Pro Max. Just curious. The Galaxy is also an excellent device. I’d like to have its zoom lens on my iPhone.

I am not sure that I want to convert, but the Galaxy camera system seems to be superior and I am thinking of getting rid of my dedicated cameras. Still wavering, that’s why I’m asking questions

Hi
I just switched from the I Phone 14 pro to the Samsung s23 ultra. The main reason I switched is the camera it is outstanding. The zoom is optical to 10X 230mm and the 30X 690 mm digital gives great photos. As for the hearing aids I was able to get the apps from the google store. I still have to pick up some of the camera apps. So far Im very happy I switched. My Sony A7IV is collecting dust use the phone for most everything now. Any questions give me a shout.

Might be a good time to pause a little on the i15. Some discussion about overheating.
Apple is promising a software fix...
I have the S23 [Plain] & really enjoy the cameras. 3x ZOOM with 40 mp sensor. Crops real well.

I have decided to hold off until next year. My iPhone 7 is still working and I have photography covered with my Canon RP and 3 RF lenses. The iPhone 16 preliminary info sounds intriguing.

I like to check in with the “rumors” sites to see what the experts or those supposedly in the know are predicting.

That’s a good idea. By the way, I see you’re from Alaska. In 1952 I worked for the Alaska Road Commission at Tok and then at Rampart. It was a great experience and delayed my entry to the Army during the Korean War. My wife and I also did two tourist trips, one in 2003 and the other in 2006. In ‘03 I met an Indian woman who new the Rodman that worked with me on our survey work in Alaska.

The world is certainly small, isn’t it?
