Has Anyone used These Straps / Lanyards? To Support a Camera& lens From the Top Bar of a Car or Truck Door Window With The Proper D RINGS ? I'm Not Talking About Driving Around With the Camera and Lens Slung that Way ? But more of A Quick On quick off Setup for Wildlife Photography from The Truck using it as A blind of Sorts ??? Seems Like It Should work But Not Sure what size / length Strap to Buy to Give the Rig The right amount of Room without Being Too long or Too short ?? Thanks !!!

You might do better mentioning the product name in your title.

The title is important to get folks to look at the post, otherwise they never see the picture. The title is the advertisement that has to draw the 'customer' in.

No, I use the fastest shutter speed I can to get the shot without using those. If your shooting from a car you might be shooting quick and by the time you have used the bag the bird is gone.

He is wanting the camera supported from the roof while inside, how would a bean bag even work?

I have never thought of supporting a lens with a U shaped loop. If this is the only way to do it on your vehicle, make sure the length is adjustable. I would also think that the width of the supporting material be as wide as possible, like one inch or two inches for on long, big lens like a 500mm f4. Some bean bags are U shaped and can be used in reverse position if they have handles to attach hooks. Maybe something like this:

I’ve used a beanbag on a car window. It worked ok. What I found that worked better was using a section of an insulation tube like is used on water pipes. Has a slit to slip over the top of the window & is cheap to buy. Some people may even have an extra tube from what they have for pipes. You can even roll up the window with it on.

You might wish to look into the various types of clamp-on window mounts.
With a small ball head, they will give you a much more stable & secure solution.

Bogen makes an accessory called a super clamp, been around for years. This takes a large number of accessories as well. I use it on a tripod leg to place the camera close to the ground. Thing will clamp to just about anything from any door, pole or other places and item. It costs about $25 and all camera suppliers carry it and the accessories.

I do a lot of photography so I currently have about 6 of these scattered around my building.

I use suction cup rig or a bean bag. The straps look like they can hold 200 lbs in the add but the clasps look super cheap. Good luck !

The Lens Coat works for me. It can be used as shown or turn it over and rest the barrel in the V. I fill it with sunflower seeds.

In this shot, from my drivers seat, my Lens Coat supports the 800mm with no problem.
