~ These images were made from my iPhone 11 because even though I had my OM.D all ready to go, I managed to leave it behind (*^#*#!!) when we hopped in the car and headed to the beach.... well, at least I had the phone camera - which is no slouch, BUT...but....

I will say this about that: it is VERY hard to see the screen of the phone in bright light, especially to check for composition and horizon tilt. ...A camera with a Viewfinder works great for that. Unless you LEAVE IT AT HOME!

In the like category, I LUV the B&W film emulator that I installed - It shoots B&W and also shoots a corresponding color image to go with it. ...Nice feature.

You seemed to do just fine, including remembering that phone cameras shoot both horizontal and vertical compositions

I very much like your toning. I like #1 for the contrast between rugged, imposing rocks and single vulnerable walker. I love the third for the curve of the wet sand area, and the tiny people - who are still very visible being dark silhouettes. Wondering if you'd consider a more wide-angle composition, cropping the foreground near the dark horizontal line and putting the beginning of the edge of wet sand in lower corner left?

That cropping truly would work with that image, NO doubt! These are SOOP (straight outa' Phone!) so I left them alone mainly because of the framing the app provides (that NIK has also, so that's NO excuse!) and fact that I'm complaining (again!) that I'm an Idiot (!) for not taking a camera I had set up to go!!

...anyways.. THANK you very much, Linda! Your comments are always enrichening!

Very nice. I love B&W. That is the Oregon Shore I suspect, beautiful.

It looks like the processing has brought out the ruggedness of the rocks.

Thank you, R.G.!

These are processed as is in the APP (called FIMO Camera - not sure if it's iPhone exclusive, or available with Android. I like playing with Phone Photo Apps!). It seems to hold detail while using contrast to an advantage, with a bit of tone thrown in the mix!

Excellent! Enjoyed!

I do agree with Linda about the crop, making something good into something better.

I like the composition, I was thinking they are a little light and soft until I read where you had taken them with your phone, in that case, congratulations for getting some nice shots. :-)
