Another big delay in the flow of goods and commerce is the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro & Long Beach, CA. A majority of the goods for the entire USA coming from Asian goes thru it. Other West Coast ports are at San Diego, Monterey, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle. Of course the Panama Canal handles ships going and coming from the US East Coast, US West Coast, Europe, and Asia, not to mention South America, Africa, and Australia.

Monterey? Clogged freeways, yes. A few whale watching boats, yes. Cargo ships, nope.

I remember Monterey well. I used to live in Salinas!
This is all B.S.,
Over sea and any heavy shipping could all have been done since at least the 1800's by
'airships' much much faster, much much cheaper, massively better for environment.

What's the design for these "airships" and how big must the wind be to move them? Can't always, either, count on wind.

How many CONTAINERS could an Airship carry? Even a Hydrogen filled Zeppelin only a few cars or fewer trucks. A container ship can carry more than 200,000 tons (400,000,000 lbs.)!

There seems to be an abundance of wind coming out of DC. At least the air ships would have a tail wind going home.
