Dragon season is winding down here in Pennsylvania

While dragon season is winding down here in southeast Pennsylvania I was fortunate enough to find a retention pond that had a few species sicking around. The damsel flies are Familiar Bluets (Enallagma civile) and the dragonfly is a Twelve-spotted Skimmer (Libellula pulchella). (You only count the dark spots).
Headed for Texas for the month of October to see the g-so play his senior year of football before playing at the next level and to extend the dragonfly hunting season.

Thanks Ken for looking in and commenting. It’s been a slow flight season. The heat kept me from spending too much time outside. Finally getting some fine weather and the season is coming to an end. Thanks again for looking in.

I appreciate that Vicki. It’s been a slow year for dragons. I may have to start shooting flowers. (not)

Much appreciated Frank! I didn't get out as much as I would like to have with the heat this summer but then I think that was the case with a lot of us older Hoggers.

Thank you Dave. Hope there will be more to photograph in Texas. It certainly seems to be a slow year for dragons and butterflies.

Chief, we are going to Round Rock for the month of October to see the G-son play his senior year of football before heading to Rice. It’s “about” 20 minutes north of Austin. It depends on I-35 traffic. Thanks for looking in and the fine compliment. Travel safely!

Thank you Mark. So glad to be headed to Texas and to meet up with some old friends and extend this flight season. Mostly glad to see the G-son play his senior year of football before heading off to play college ball. Winding up things here doing dragon presentations for enotmology and natural history groups. Enjoy the coming Fall my friend!
