Changing weather in Whitby, North Yorkshire, UK.

Went for a visit for lunch today and we had some very changeable weather! Blue skies and remains of a rainbow, dark skies, rain and very strong wind difficult to stand up. I was hoping to see some big waves but it was low tide.
Hope you enjoy the visit.

Good set Sylvia. My first wife was from Hull and I experienced Yorkshire weather many times back in the late 50's.

Wonderful set, Sylvia! The North Sea looks a little rough, but as I recall, that's not unusual. Love that rainbow shot, as it looks like something that could be painted on canvas.
Very enjoyable post, especially your lunch!! YUM!

I'm comenting on both posts. Through pictures, you've given me many new places to see when I return to the UK on vacation. That practice was put on hold during the pandemic, but we're working up to a return trip. I also want to comment that your pictures in general are excellent, well thought out and well composed. It's a pleasure to look at them.
Finally, I have a question about the dish you're showing us. You say is has crawfish tails. Is that the same as Whitby scampi, which I've eaten a million times over there? (In case one wants to ask, scampi in the UK are a small member of the lobster family caught in salt water.). Over here in the US, crawfish (or crayfish or sometimes crawdads) are a small, freshwater member of the lobster family.
Great photos, Sylvia! What the heck is Samphire??
Great set, Sylvia. Beautiful work.
