UHH unresponsive

For the past few days the UHH website as been acting strangely for me. I log in with U/N and P/W and get the menu page OK. I can land on Newest Topics and pull it up OK. I can click on, and read one, and only one, topic. As soon as I go back to the index, the whole website fails to respond to any action. None of the topics can be read, none of the boxes at the upper left are active. Anyone have an idea as to what is going on? Of course as soon as I sent this, the whole website started working normally!!

Oie, working perfectly fine here.

Phone or computer?
Close & restart your browser?
Try another browser?
Reboot the device?

Your ISP busy or having problems?
Possibly Admin is working on the site live.

I have not experienced what you describe.

Is UHH the only thing that doesn’t work right?

I can have sluggish internet response when something like Windows or Adobe programs are updating in the background. It can be worse if the lady in the house has a computer doing something similar. Between us we have 3 computers, 2 phones, a couple tablets, a couple Kindles and a security system all sharing the WiFi and cable. Somebody might be watching a YouTube too! It does not help that Comcast's cable service can get overloaded in my neighborhood.

I’d start out by clearing your browser’s cache and then Cookies. Do all browsers have the same UHH issue?

If Windows is updating, it is more likely a cpu issue than a network slowdown. What is your normal download speed? I live in your neighborhood and normally get 850 mbps. I have a NetGear NightHawk as a router/modem with the two desktops connected via LAN, instead of WiFi. The laptop usually connects via WiFi, and it only gets 500 mbps. The rest of my network is like yours, with the exception of the Kindles.

I'm in Panorama and I think Comcast has us throttled at 200 mbps. It may be that I only pay for 200! I just updated from an old Motorola to a NetGear Nighthawk and there was big improvement.

yeah you can consider the internet speed that they quote to a maximum speed, not a minimum. Your speed could be much much lower depending on things like other networking traffic, weather and condition and age of the lines and hardware, both yours and theirs.

When I have to login, I do then leave the site. When I re visit the site all is ok. The secret is to login, leave, then reopen UHH.

Thanks for all of the helpful suggestions. As Longshadow suggested, I finally clicked on the UHH logo in my Favorites Bar and clicked "open in a new window" which cured the problem ...., in the new window. The original UHH window refuses to work properly??

Sometimes browsers hiccup, it's rare, but they do.
Glad it was simple!

It's most likely something on your end--either your computer or your internet service. I've had no problems whatsoever.

If you read some of the prior posts you will see that they solved the problem.
