A local woman just posted a list of things most people don't use any more. I have quite a few of these things in either the house or the garage, and I added a few of my own.

wall phones, landline of course
party lines
CB radios
Ice cream cups with wooden spoons
buckle on roller skates with a metal key
pogo sticks and stilts
saddle shoes
crinolines and girdles
pocket cameras with film
electric frypans
electric knives
blackboards
folding paper maps
photograph albums
Ovaltine and egg cremes
tablecloths
television antennae
record players
tie clasps
cassettes (audio)
8-tracks
film/slide projectors and screens
pencil sharpeners mounted on the wall
mimeograph machines and fax machines
computers that use large floppy disks

Ice cream cups are still available,; but without the wooden spoons; electric fry pans and electric knives are also available; TV antennae are still sold, but probably not ones we used to install on a tall metal tower or post

I was at Roberts Photo in Indianapolis for about half an hour today, and I couldn't believe the amount of film they sold in that time.

Ice cream cups now come with plastic spoons. One place we stopped wanted to charge $0.25 for an extra spoon so we could share. The spoons were the lowest quality plastic spoons I have come across in several decades. Very thin and flimsy material. I'd be surprised if the spoon cost more than $0.02 apiece in the quantity they probably bought them.

I still have a house phone, actually 12 of them. I'm always interrupted by the phone ringing the minute I come in, so we have one in each bathroom. Family and living room account for 4 more, kitchen of course. 5 in the four bedrooms. I have 2 more to install half way up the stairs-upper level and down to the basement. Phone seems to ring when I'm halfway up or down the stairs. I can't run anymore, so now I'm covered.

I still have a mechanical pencil sharpener in the basement. I don't know why it's there, but I just left it. I still love my electric knife for carving the turkey. Most of the rest of the list is gone, but not forgotten.

How about a phonebook, a hand saw,a Yankee drill, a push mower with no moter.you are the power.as you move the mower it spins the rotary blade that cuts the grass.how about a record player.and last but not least.a payphone.

My grand daughter likes the pogo stick
I have record player to play the many 33 rpm and 45 we bought in the 60's and 70's
We have an electric griddle, use table cloths
we do not have cable hence the tv antenna in the attic
seems we have and use about half the items listed

I never used most of the stuff you listed but the ones that I used I still use them unless they are broken.
I would still use the 5 1/4" floppy if I have one drive that still works but all mine have gone bad.
I still use cassettes.

I'm surprised that we still get one or two every year - with tiny print.

Thinking back many years, I had an IBM computer with several sizes of drive slots. Remember the Zip drive? That didn't last long.

My comments on some of these:

wall phones, landline of course - got rid of line 2 years ago, wall phone still hanging (dead) in kitchen

party lines - had when I was a child… but I’m in later 70s

Ice cream cups with wooden spoons - ALWAYS hated wooed spoons, used only when no other choice, tried to avoid touching my teeth

buckle on roller skates with a metal key - remember our daughter using those… and skinned knees

crinolines and girdles - would anyone notice if a man wore a girdle… to control the roll gained lately?

folding paper maps - have a couple

photograph albums. - wish I had my mom’s album s… long enoug to scan or photo them… then our daughter would treasure them if given the chance

tablecloths - wife keeps on dining room table… rotates to match season/holiday

television antennae - wish I had one that had good reception

record players - they are coming back but I gave away a truck load of records years ago

I still have a couple of Zip drives. One is SCSI (I do have a computer with SCSI port) and the other is USB.

I still use paper maps for trip planning, primarily because it’s easier to see the big picture and examine alternate scenic routes for our road trips.

The vanishing phone directory is getting thinner and thinner year by year. I expect that at some point it will entirely disappear.

My friend on Cape Cod has no cable or streaming service and still uses an old fashioned roof antenna to receive about a dozen digital channels. TV stations are still broadcasting "over the air" and the old antennas will pick up the digital signal he feeds into his modern TV. A few years ago he purchased a roof antenna designed for digital reception so someone out there's still making and selling roof antennas.
