~ This image was taken with a film simulator (see the framing!) on my iPhone 11. I discovered when I got home that the
lenses on the camera phone were quite smudged as I'd been crabbing off the docks near where this pic was taken and was checking my phone between pulls.
Comments - critiques welcome!
The crab was D.Lish!!
......and I didn't get pinched this time!!
Fun film effect. I think Nik Analog Efex has that choice, though it has been a long time since I used that module.
There's a lot going on in the image, but that makes it a nice sense of place kind of scene. Are the vertical poles related to crabbing?

Yes! Nik has that feature in Analog Efex as you described! Nik is fun to play with every which way to Sunday, in my opinion!
Those particular poles are holding pontoon-like calming floats that keep it calm for launching boats. The same type of poles are to the right out of sight in the photo holding the docks where we were crabbing. So yeah related!! If they weren't there, the dock wouldn't be there, and I wouldn't be crabbing!! Ha!
A coupla' Nik frames...... (pic is from an older phone with a funky attached macro lens....)

Thanks for the info and additional photos. I love this close-up with its contrasts: curves vs. straight lines, smooth vs. textured.

Thank you, Linda! I need to unearth that little macro lens and play with it on the iPhone - and see what I can come up with!!

I really like this close-up for the same reasons as Linda. I prefer the second for the slightly softer take on the spring and the denser spring shadow; that more closely reflects what I would expect to see.
