Is there a program i can use to fix this image? I was taken by surprise when the owl came out the trees and would love to be able to improve the image quality but not sure what the best program would be? thanks

NO

You can do what you will but it will STILL be blurred

Don't be too critical, the owl came out of the trees and surpsied him. I think it is a great photo under the circustances

Looks like JR was able to "better" it somewhat. When I belonged to a photoclub an image had won a particular category. This particular image had a cloth-type texture on it and looked really neat. When the lady was asked why she used this texture...she grinned and replied "I liked the image, but it was out of focus so bad I had to disguise that". Perhaps you can employ this tactic using JR's rendition?

Try, Photoshop, lighthouse, Cs5, from the look of the photo there is not to much you can do with it, but these softwear will help some

Blur the background - makes the subject look sharper. Maybe??

I see your concern with the pic. But it is a damn fine shot. You'll live a long time before it happens again. Be happy.

Great shot in the circumstances - the owl was probably not aware of the intricacies of the so-called exposure triangle - still a good capture IMHO

Damn fine shot for sure. Infocus' attempt makes it look alot better with the blurred background. Printing it on canvas or textured paper will make a huge difference also. Nice one!!!!

Your photo is more clear than the human eye would see in nature. I'd say it looks incredibly real and picturesque! Remember; "Have no fear of perfection, you'll never reach it"!!

I see your concern but the shot is so unique I wouldn't do anything with it except put it in a frame and be proud of it. For me this would be a shot of a lifetime, you did exceptionally well with it.
