What compels him to do this? Surely he must realize he's going to be fact-checked. Well, maybe not. His entire career seems to be one fraught with lie after lie.

President Joe Biden dropped a political bombshell this week, claiming he single-handedly convinced the late Senator Strom Thurmond to vote for the Civil Rights Act when he would have been just 21 years old.

Speaking at the 60th-anniversary celebration of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law at the White House, Biden declared, "Pause for just a moment. I thought things had changed."

Then, with a dramatic flourish, he announced, "I was able to — literally, not figuratively — talk Strom Thurmond into voting for the Civil Rights Act before he died."

"And I thought, ‘well, maybe there’s real progress,'" he added. "But hate never dies, it just hides. It hides under the rocks."

But here's the jaw-dropping fact-check: Biden was born on November 20, 1942. The Civil Rights Act passed the Senate on June 19, 1964. That means the President would have been a mere 21 years old at the time and nowhere near the Senate seat he eventually won at the age of 29.

During this period, Biden was a student in History and Politics at the University of Delaware in Newark.

Not to mention that Strom Thurmond, who once held the record for the longest filibuster in Senate history against civil rights legislation, didn't die until June 2003, nearly four decades after the Civil Rights Act passed.

The White House tried to smooth over this whopper by telling Fox News that Biden was instrumental in getting Thurmond's vote for the Voting Rights Act 1980. But the President's claim about the Civil Rights Act remains baffling.

That's hard to say. If we could sort out the real lies from the other misstatements and exaggerations, it might be closer that we think. Fifty years vs 4 years. Who knows?

Apparently you do not believe the the track record the bigger POS has accumulated.

I would suggest that there is simply too much documentation available. Joe is no slouch, but there is nothing out there to prove he holds a candle to the pied piper.

Lies abound on both sides. I'm more concerned with the lies coming out of the Biden and his administration now. Trump's lies are old news.

Yeah, Trump stopped lying when Biden took over.

Many are more concerned with the possibility of trump continuing to exert influence over the Pub party, so thinking Biden is more prolific apparently assuages your feelings toward the traitorous pied piper. Most have conceded for a long time that both sides lie, so your statement is moot.

I LMAO about the caricatures who cry TDS seemingly suffering from BTS.

I am not a Trump fan, but many items that the mainstream media touted as Trump "lies" are typical of exaggerations that egotistical politicians make. These same media members (and the impeachment committees) counted Trump's plea from a rally podium for the Russians to find Hillary's erased emails as an act of treason. I think that sheds some light on the veracity of the lie tally.

If you want to believe that Trump lied 400,000 times, or whatever the new New York Times number is, go ahead. If you want to believe that as the number of Trump's indictments increases it has any bearing on is actual guilt, you can have that one too, Trump is not the subject of this post.

Biden has always made things up and confused facts when he went off prompter. Now that Biden trait is being augmented by dementia and the results probably keep his staff up at night. He's not fit to be a greater at your favorite box store, certainly not POTUS.

I in no way indicated anything other than generalities I stated, trump is without a doubt a well documented liar. Further, I in no way denied Biden is a liar or defended him in any way. Funny how many of the supposed non-trump supporters here like to say that in his defense, trump is not the subject of a post. Too bad that does not preclude his behavior from being pointed out, particularly when the topic is lying.

I have never supported Biden, so your disparagement means nothing to me.

The pied piper continues to influence a few cultists.

I didn't disparage you at all other than to point out the post was not about Trump. I don't consider your inability to let Trump go a character flaw, LOL.
