Looks like a tremendous amount of work. Hopefully it will be a labor of love for you Jack!

Wow, no rust in the cowl/windshield area. That car might have good bones. How about in the trunk wheel wells?

If you need any parts for these cars, I could check out Desert Valley Auto Parts for you. There is one here in Casa Grande and Phoenix.

There is some work ahead, Jack. I cannot wait to see the finish.

Thanks Mike. Not as much work as the Duster.

Lots of work Mark. We're doing this car for my buddy who passed away 3 years ago. His wife has had mechanical and suspension done and now we're going to finish the outside. Then interior shop.

I've got to many of those. Duster is on back burner till this is done.

This car is in great shape. Rt Qtr rear has the damage by tail light pocket and lower has rust. Rest of car seems very solid.

Yes. It was quite a bit worse than what you see here. I'll hammer and dolly it till I'm satisfied. I won't use much filler. As of now I'm stripping the rest of the car so we have a nice clean starting place. I'll finish Qrt when I get the tail light bezel so I can fit and finish it properly.

What is Qrt, Jack? I'm not familiar with that? I'd love to give you a hand. I watch shows like Kindig and I think to myself, "I'd like to try that" ( I never will). I'm amazed at what they can fabricate and how they do what they do. You must derive great satisfaction when you're done. Good for you! I enjoy watching your progress.

They were beautiful cars. I had a burgundy '66 Galaxie 2 door coupe. I wish I still had it. I gave it to my mother with near 100,000 miles on it and she sold it to her mechanic in 1975 with almost 150,000 miles on it. A lot of good times in that car. I wish you good luck with your restoration.

Qtr is short for Quarter panel. It's a lot of work and you have to know how to do a lot of different things. I was a Painter in body shops for 50 years. But did collision work in my early years.

Absolutely not lol. It'll take us awhile just to get to primer stage.
