The attached photo is one of the shots I took of the Milky Way at Utah's Dead Horse Point State Park in September, 2022.

Getting desperate Mike? I like it, how about a little info on how you took it

I took it with my Sony A1, using the Sony 24 - 70mm GM lens at 24mm. I shot for 15 seconds at ISO 6400, f/2.8.

I like the overall image but I'd try and take out the light in the centre of the silhouette and the aircraft lights.

We'll be in Gardiner 9/20 to 10/10. Staying at Yell Archview Guesthouse.
Not too bad driving to the Lake. A little better than Forces of the Northern Range.

We will just miss you. I will try to relay anything of interest once we get back.

We're booked for the same dates next year, so we'll hope for another chance!
If you go to Lamar, I'd be curious to know if the Picnic Area lot, just over the bridge from Tower, is open. We like to hike out past Calcite Springs and the Narrows to Bannock Crossing overlook and it is an excellent trail-head. The Trout Lake/Buck Lake trail-head is supposed to be open, but the road was moved somewhere in that area.

Never really been successful at Astro, so I added a bit of sharpening and clarity (not to much of either), took out the plane lights and the car and lightened the foreground a little.
