Scoot! Out of the Garden.

We have a number of raised bird feeding stations around the rear garden and two on the ground near a laurel tree. The small birds and Blackbirds run out from under the tree and eat from the dishes then run back under.
We were sat outside having breakfast yesterday when I saw what I thought was a bird with ears.
peeping out from under the tree.
I got the camera and when it came out I saw it was Mr/Mrs Ratty. It was very nervous at first but soon relaxed as you can see.
Just a fun set of shots, tomorrow if it is still around I will set the cat trap and relocate it.

Great pictures. That cute little critter will be back soon. I am sure you will find it a nice home. I am sure there is more than one around too.
Yep, they will be back. The reason I know that is because we are having the same problem Sylvia!

Nice set. One rat probably means more. Act quickly
Everyone enjoys dining at Sylvia's!
Nicely captured Sylvia - well done!
Great capture, Sylvia. When you have a bird feeder, you are feeding a host of little wingless critters that you normally never see. Very nicely done.
Yep, once they find it they don't go away. Nothing like a free meal. I have the same issue in my yard with squirrels. Have a little trap to catch them for relocation when they get too bold. Nice job of capturing this one with the camera.

Thank you very much Jill for your comments. I read they don't like the smell of vinegar so I sprayed around where it was. I haven't seen it since and the viniger hasn't put the birds off.
We will wait and see.
Sylvia I love the great photos but I hate rats and mice. I know you are in England, the home of very few people having firearms. But can you have a pellet rifle. That would make short work the rat. If you pay for my airfare over and back to Idaho I will be happy to come shoot this critter for you and then take you and your husband to dinner afterward.
